Verbs of Change - Part II

All of these change verbs express a total change, usually considered as a positive and a voluntary change. These kinds of verbs are related to "ser".

They are usually followed by an adjective or a noun of:

- profession : enfermero, cantante, artista...
- religion : cristiano, judío, católico...
- politics : republicano, socialista, demócrata...
- other adjectives or nouns that are related to a voluntary change

Hacerse

Cuando su equipo perdió la final de fútbol, Carlos decidió hacerse del equipo rival.
When his team lost the final, Carlos decided to become a fan of the opponent.

María se hizo enfermera para poder curar y ayudar a los enfermos.
Maria became a nurse so she could heel and help the sick.
